Check Weigher System
It is normally found at the off-going end of a production process and is used to ensure that the weight of a pack of the commodity is within specified limits. Any packs that are outside the tolerance are taken out of line automatically.
These scales are extensively used in packaging industries, food industry, and quality management and also help in counting packages for a consignment. It has a large application and can be built with metal detectors, x-ray machines, open-flap detection, bar-code scanners, holographic scanners, temperature sensors, vision inspectors, timing screws to set the timing and spacing between product, indexing gates and concentrator ducts to line up the product into a designated area on the conveyor.
The desired weight of the package has to be set on our NWS Check Weigh Controller. If the package being weighed does not confirm to the set weight and indication is given either to manually remove the package or automatically by the way of a rejecter on the conveyor.
